We will now be at Groomingdales in Columbia Illinois the 3rd Saturday of the month from 10 AM to 2 PM.

HELP WANTED

New Extended Hours for the summer!!

The HSMC shelter is located at 4172 State Route 3 (Illinois Route 3) and is approximately 8 miles south of Waterloo.

Our hours of operation are:

Tuesday 4PM to 8PM and Saturday 11AM to 6PM.

Our next adoption event is May 17 at Groomingdales at 117 Southwoods Center, Columbia, Illinois from 10AM to 2PM.

Also, if you are interested in an animal on our website site and would like to arrange a visit at a time other than the scheduled adoption events, please call 618-282-PETS and leave a message.

Our Featured Pet of the month for May is Molley

We have an opportunity for our shelter to raise money with the help of our volunteers:

Fido Finder www.fidofinder.com this is a monthly competition for $1,000 a month prize. All you have to do is go out on the web site and select the Humane Society of Monroe County, IL as your choice and the shelter with the most votes wins $1,000. With your help we can win $1,000 every month, which will pay a large chunk of our shelter expense.

“PLEDGE-A-PLAQUE” PROGRAM

Show your support for our new shelter with a personalized plaque display!

Our shelter building on State Route 3 is in the final stages of renovation. The new facility will offer opportunities to memorialize a person, pet, family name or business. An engraved plaque will be affixed to the object at this facility that the monies were donated for to recognize your contribution. Your chosen text (up to 50 characters) can be accompanied by a photo if you like (digital, please). All plaques will be prominently displayed and visible to the general public.

We have chosen Kuranda dog beds for our boarding facilities because they are so good for our dogs. If you would like to donate a bed so another dog can sleep in proper comfort, please click here.

people with an interest in helping those animals who lack the love and care of a good home. HSMC is a non-profit 501c3 charitable organization supported entirely by donations.
