MINUTES OF THE HSMC GENERAL MEETING HELD ON

October 13, 2011

Meeting was called to order by President Paula Hutchinson

Minutes from Previous Meeting were presented (as taken by Diane Weber.) Motion to approve the minutes made by Robbie Devenport and seconded by Susan Walla. Motion approved.

Treasurer‟ Report – The September report will be presented in November. Reports will begin being for the previous month in order to make report compilation easier.

Old Business

Membership Drive – Susan Walla – there are currently 103 members. One new member in Sept. Susan has been incapacitated due to a knee injury.

Corvette Raffle Update – $770 was made

Pub Crawl Update – Over 60 participants and near $1,000 made

Pawtraits voting has ended. Was again successful.

Mutt and Me Update – had a good turn out. Profits not known yet. We need a committee to make it even better next year.

Susan attended "Vendors for a Cause" – lots of items were donated for HSMC.

New Business

Volunteer Report – Susan Walla – Sept had 46 volunteers working 242 hours

UPCOMING EVENTS – Volunteers needed for all events.

Open House/Adoption Event – Shelter November 5th Noon to 3pm –National Shelter Week

PetCo Gravois Bluffs -Adoption Event – November 12th 10-2

HSMC McDonalds Night – November 15th 4pm to 8pm

PetSmart Adoption Event - November 19th 10 - 2

Breakfast w/ Santa – ICS Gym November 26th 8-11am

Lamp Post Contest/Santa Pictures – November 27th Time ? - Becky Markert is decorating for HSMC

Jingle Bell Walk – December 10th Waterloo Feed & Pet Time ?

December 17 & 18 Petsmart Pictures with Santa

Fund Raiser Approvals

Oct. 22 Columbia Animal Hospital Fall Pet Photos $10 – 10-Noon – Proceeds to HSMC

Bob Andress suggested a Denny's restaurant fundraiser

Discussion about order „Bone Stockings" and treat pouches that Bob Andress can get for 50 cents each with a min of 300 order.

New donation boxes are available if you have a location for one

New Shelter Update - the board is reviewing information about pricing and costs for capital campaign.
