Molley is a 2 year old female American Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix. She weighs just under 60 pounds and is all muscle. Although she is very strong, she is easily walked with a Gentle Leader or a pinch collar; she also is very attentive to her person and wants to please. Molley is very sweet with people. She is still young and overly rambuctious, I am still trying to teach her not to jump on people and/or run over them when she comes running! She has an amazing recall when called to come to the house! She has been trained to 'climb' onto a pet cot, which is an elevated (5 in.) bed on which she has to stay whenever requested to do so. She can sit, lie down, have toys or bones, etc, on the climb, but must stay until told 'free'. She is a strong-willed dog but craves a 'leader' and responds very well to training. Molley's ideal new guardian would be a person she views as the pack leader; someone with a good bit of dog experience and self-confidence. Molley currently lives in a foster home where her playmate is a large male husky mix. We would like to place Molley in a home where she will be the only dog or with a large, submissive male dog. Molley definitely does not like other female dogs. She needs a home with a securely fenced yard for exercise (no underground fence). She loves to chase (and sometimes fetch!) a tennis ball. She loves riding in the car, even while I run errands for hours! And her favorite time is the evening when she can just chill on the sofa and watch TV with us! Molley sleeps on the foot of our bed and doesn't move all night! Molley is going to make a perfect dog for some lucky person!
