Sophie is a domestic medium-hair, tortoiseshell kitten, approximately 10 months old (as of 3/5/07).  She was found in the Waterloo area as a stray.  Having been somewhat wild in the outdoors, she is still a little skittish around new people, so she would need a very understanding and patient new family.  Once she gets to know you and trust you though, she is extremely affectionate and loving.  She loves to lay by you and be petted, as well as to be young and playful yet.  She still has not come to understand being held, so she would need work on that as well.  She is currently in her foster home with two other cats which she gets along with very well.  She would probably do best in a household with another cat.  Currently it has not been determined if she is dog-safe, but with a little patience this would probably be fine as well.
