Last fall the Humane Society of Monroe County entered a contest by Monsanto called "Grow St. Louis". We have an opportunity to win either $5,000, $10,000 or even $15,000 in grant money if we're one of the groups with the most votes.

Each email address can vote just one time per day and we hope you'll take time out of your busy schedules to vote for the HSMC!

On March 24, 2012, HSMC will host it's 8th Annual Cause for Paws Dinner Dance and Silent Auction at The Falls in Columbia, Illinois. This benefit is the largest fundraiser of the year for us and we could always use donations. We could use gift cards, certificates for services and new donated items for our auction.

Our "Cause for Paws" event is just around the corner. We want to remind you that we are selling space in our program for memorials and/or advertisements. Please consider supporting HSMC's biggest fundraiser with your ad or memorial. (Space is available for $50-$200.)

The HSMC shelter is located at 4172 State Route 3 (Illinois Route 3) and is approximately 8 miles south of Waterloo.

Our hours of operation are:

Tuesday and Thursday 3PM to 7PM

Saturday 11AM to 6PM. (However, we will be closed Christmas Eve)

Our next adoption event is January 28 at PetSmart at South County, St. Louis, Missouri from 10AM to 2PM.

Also, if you are interested in an animal on our website site and would like to arrange a visit at a time other than the scheduled adoption events, please call 618-282-PETS and leave a message.
